Summer Term 2013

Planning four terms for the 2013-2014 school year — Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring.  Each term is 5 weeks with 3 field trips, for a total of 8 weeks.  This is for our Charlotte Mason school one day a week.

12:15  Art & Handicrafts  (45 minutes)

  • Needle Felting (Liz F.)

1:00 Science (45 minutes)

1:45  Nature Study  (45 minutes)

  • Nature Notebook and Nature Trays
  • Keeping a Nature Journal by Clare Walker Leslie & Charles E. Roth
  • Handbook of Nature Study — Crows and Red-winged Blackbirds
  • Handbook of Nature Study — Blackberries & Apples
  • Handbook of Nature Study —  Beavers & Cattails
  • Handbook of Nature Study — Soil and Worms
  • Handbook of Nature Study —  Frogs and Duckweed

2:30  Literature  (30 minutes)

  • Selected Books

3:00 Free Play
