Living and Learning in the Pacific Northwest
I am making a bath rug with leftover wool and acrylic yarn. I’m curious how well the cream acrylic will hold up. It doesn’t take too long to punch out a hexagon. I can sit and do it while we watch a movie or during the quiet, cool mornings. I am combing the internet for primitive rug patterns but I’m not finding much to my taste since much of it reminds me of the 1980s country-style. Now that I’m getting a feel for the punch needle and the width needed to create definition on corners and curves, I think I could make my own patterns soon. I like modern quilting, so I might find some inspiration there too.
This rug is so soft to touch and squishy beneath bare feet.
I am reading “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee and will discuss it with my Book Lovers club.
